Thank You

Thank You!

As I tried to say on Sunday, Susan and I leave with a heavy mix of emotions:  excitement for another shot at retirement and more time together, yet sadness at not being with a people of faith we have come to love.  You guys just have the most wonderful way of growing on people!  And we are honored to be among them.

My special thanks to Kristi (and Beth) who regularly tolerated my warped sense of humor and misplaced shenanigans, and to each of you for tolerating my missteps in the worship order and my sometimes left of center theology—none of which I trust ever come across as an intentional mandate, but as an invitation to thought.

And though it is a professional courtesy to completely withdraw from your fellowship so that Shannon has the opportunity to be the pastor you have called her to be, we fully expect to cross paths with you in the community, at Regional Church events, and through sustained friendships.

So, may God bless your transition with Shannon and her husband, Paul, and move to embrace them as fully as you did us.

Again, “Thank You”—for the shared journey and for the awesome farewell reception with so many expressions of love!  What a special people you are!  With love and prayers—

Susan and Jerry
